Open Ceramicspublishes the results of original research and reviews relating to all classes of ceramic materials, from traditional to advanced ceramics, from glasses to refractories, from bioceramics to ceramic matrix composites. The central objective of this international journal is to provide a venue for the dissemination of high quality, novel research and technological developments in ceramic and inorganic materials, targeting a wide audience ranging from academia to industry.
in this context, the Open Ceramics launched, in 2020, 4 Calls for Papers for Special Issues:
° Advances in Additive Manufacturing of Ceramics
° Recent Advances and Future of Electroceramics
° Alkali-Activated Materials and Geopolymers in Ceramics and Beyond
° Young Ceramists in the Spotlight
Advances in Additive Manufacturing of Ceramics
This Special Issue is organised by the Europe Makes Ceramics and the young Ceramists Additive Manufacturing (yCAM) networks of ECerS and aims at gathering contributions that address current progress in additive manufacturing of ceramics, either aiming at improving the acceptance of existing technologies or at developing novel technologies and materials for future applications.
Recent Advances and Future of Electroceramics
The editors of this Special Issue, organised with the ECerS Electroceramics Network, aim at gathering contributions addressing recent progress in the field of Electroceramics, including fundamentals and methods, materials and functionalities, and novel applications of Electroceramics.
Alkali-Activated Materials and Geopolymers in Ceramics and Beyond
The scope of this Special Issue is to promote new applications, potential raw materials, and a better understanding of the chemical and mechanical behavior of these materials.
Young Ceramists in the Spotlight
This special issue, organised with the Young Ceramists Network of ECerS, aims to promote the visibility of their fellow ceramist researchers, who finished their PhD no more than 10 years ago, conducting excellent research in the field of ceramics.
