New for 2009 Nano Today: An International Rapid Reviews Journal From 2009, Nano Today will be known as Nano Today: An International Rapid Reviews Journal and will move to a traditional journal format to enable us to bring the research community more of what it needs: cutting-edge, peer-refereed reviews and rapid communications to shape and define the frontiers of nanoscience and nanotechnology through their multidisciplinary applications. The Journal will publish six print issues per year, but reviews will be published ahead of print on ScienceDirect - www.sciencedirect.com and will continue to cover the latest news and communications in the research arena, as well as the opinions and comments of leaders in the field. The scope of the journal will include: Synthesis and Self-Assembly of Nanostructured Materials and Films Functionalization and Size-Dependent Properties of Nanocrystals, Quantum Dots and Nanowires Processing and Templating of Nanotubes and Nanoporous Materials Tailoring of Polymeric Nanoparticles, Organic-Inorganic Nanocomposites and Biohybrids Fabrication of Nano and Micro Electro Mechanical Systems Design and Engineering of Structural and Functional Nanomaterials Nanosystems for Biological, Medical, Chemical, Catalytic, Energy and Environmental Applications Nanodevices for Electronic, Photonic, Magnetic, Imaging, Diagnostic and Sensor Applications We are delighted that Nano Today received its first Impact Factor of 5.929* in 2008. We are also pleased to bring you the 1st Nano Today Conference, 2-5 August 2009, Singapore. Find out more at www.nanotoday2009.com
