The forthcoming 6th European Conference on Ecological Restoration in Ghent, Belgium, will be held 8-12 September 2008: www.ser2008.be
The conference title is "Towards a sustainable future for European ecosystems - Providing restoration guidelines for Natura 2000 habitats and species" and is supported by the European commission.
The aim of the conference is to present the state of the art in ecological restoration in Europe and to bring together scientists, policy makers, practitioners and stakeholders. Through lectures, workshops, poster sessions and excursions the conference offers a unique opportunity for the exchange of knowledge, experiences and good practices in ecological restoration and nature conservation in the Natura 2000 framework.
We especially welcome review studies and innovative case studies (focussing both on successes and failures), generating best practice guidelines.
We are happy to announce our key note lectures, covering different questions of the day and presented by leading authorities in the field: http://www.ser2008.be/Program.html.
Thanks to our sponsors you benefit from low registration fees. Do not forget to register before 1 June 2008 if you want to take advantage of our early registration rates: http://www.ser2008.be/Fees.html
